Hybrid Hybrid Event

A hybrid event is one that is both virtual and in-person, so you might have attendees that are physically sitting in the audience, and others who are watching it live online.

Hybrid events are a feature of our Virtual Events add-on, which supports both Zoom and YouTube Live. This event is an example using Zoom, which is an available option in the WordPress editor when creating a new event.

The Virtual Events add-on adds a new set of options in the WordPress editor to configure virtual and hybrid events, allowing video to connect via Zoom (pictured) or YouTube Live. The live video can display either when the event is published or when the event starts, and a number of options provide control over how the link to the event is shared and whether the video is displayed when the attendee is logged in or out of WordPress.
